About this book

"You will become as small as the desire that controls you, as big as your main aspiration." This is one of the first self help books ever written, dating back to 1902. James Allen was an English writer passionate about the study of the mind and human abilities, he wrote several books and also published a newspaper, but he remained particularly famous for this book.

Allen analyzes how inner thoughts and attitude are the cause of men's outward good or bad luck, and explains how only inner improvement can lead to real change in life. While most modern self-help books focus on the idea of "making money" or "being successful," Allen sees wealth as only an outward sign of human growth.

This edition also contains the comments by Massimiliano Pizzirani, to better clarify the expressed concepts, not always easy to understand and often written with biblical and literary tones.

At the end of the book there are also many blank lined pages to take any notes you may need.
