Just Around the Corner

About this book

All big-hearted Katie Mehan has ever wanted is health and happiness for her family. But work at the docks is getting scarcer and they are beginning to feel the effects of the political unrest of the 1930s. Life isn’t as simple as Katie thought. Pat, her husband, is releasing his stress in fits of temper. Meanwhile their 16-year-old daughter Molly grows more desirable every day, attracting both the masterful but criminally-minded Bob Jarvis, and the Jewish Simon Blomstein.
