This tale chronicles the fortitude and the foibles of human nature as found during the rum running Twenties; characteristics substantially prevalent yesterday, today and certainly tomorrow. All the incidents and episodes contained within are based on fact as reported in the news media, and found in the pages of the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Customs and Excise held in Halifax and St. John during 1926 and 1927.
